What’s in Your Briefcase?

As I send kids back to school and refocus on getting a routine in place for The Conversations That Matter, I find myself wondering if I need a few new tools for my briefcase. Afterall, we go out of our way to make sure our kids have everything they need to be successful. Why shouldn’t I do the same for myself?

How about you? How’s your briefcase looking? Are your tools worn out and need of a refresh?

How about your team? Do they need some new tools to help them be successful?

Too often we expect great things of the people around us, but we don’t take the time to make sure they have what they need to meet and exceed our expectations. In the case of team development, we assume, because we are all grown-ups, that everyone can get along and function at the highest levels all the time. Unfortunately, even as adults, we need constant reminders and support to create healthy, high-performing relationships. We need to practice conflict resolution in a safe space. We need to know our communications and work styles. We need to know others’ styles too, so we can respond and adapt as needed. We need to take time to acknowledge and value one another.

Building Great Teams is a day-long workshop for teams. It is designed to strengthen teams, help them understand how and why they work the way they do and how they can each influence, empower and adapt to be more effective as peers, managers and leaders. By first focusing on our own Communication Style, we build a cohesive team – one that can trust, collaborate and lean on each other to effectively build the business together.

The Building Great Teams program allows you to have the open, candid and strategic conversations that teams need to perform at the highest level. For a team to move to the next level, dedicated time together is required, a sense of freedom and creativity are desired, and the willingness to explore ideas together, all to allow for rich learning and development.

The Conversations That Matter is booking Building Great Teams for Fall and Winter. NOW is the time to get this workshop on your calendar. Let’s talk about whether or not we might be a good fit for one another, and get a date booked to start our work together!
